SLIC Server and Virtualization Upgrade

OAK Integrated Systems installed and racked four new Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 V3 servers for SLIC Life and SLIC General, decommissioning the existing SR650 V2 node and adding the new servers to the VMware ESXi 8.0.3 cluster, with VMware Enterprise Plus licenses transferred across.

The team assessed and performed ESXi and vCenter upgrades where required, then installed and configured ESXi and vCenter Server on the refreshed environment.

A Tanzu Kubernetes cluster was configured within the existing VMware environment, with high availability, failover, backup and restore, network redundancy, and SAN redundancy all tested to validate business continuity and overall system functionality.
